What's driving those opportunities? Los Angeles is the second largest city in the United States, the largest city in the state of California, as well as the largest in the Western United States. The urban area of Los Angeles extends beyond the administrative city limits, and with a population of over 14.8 million, it is the 14th largest urban area in the world, affording it megacity status. Los Angeles is also the seat of Los Angeles County, the most populated and one of the most multicultural counties in the United States. A leading global city, Los Angeles exerts a powerful influence over global entertainment, media, culture, art, fashion, research and education.

Los Angeles PR Job Outlook

The agency outlook for Los Angeles public relations jobs is positive. In the past two years, Los Angeles PR firms have begun to do more hiring, and practitioners are having an easier time finding jobs. On the corporate side, there's a real need for employee and diversity communicators. On both sides, healthcare public relations is booming, as is high tech public relations.
